The experience was also detailed in her memoir Chicken Soup For the Preteen Soul, and the episode of 7th Heaven "Nothing Endures But Change". Mitchell's friend of 15 years Angela died in a fatal vehicle crash. Mitchell was unable to cope with the loss and Angela was the source of inspiration for the song Angel the song, which is on Mitchell's debut album. Mitchell also discussed the experience in Chicken Soup, for Preteen Souls and 7th Heaven: Nothing Endures But Change.
